Homemade French Toast

French toast is a classic breakfast dish that can be dressed up with lots of healthy fruit and maple syrup or simply topped with some powdered sugar and a hot cup of coffee. Try this recipe to start your morning off in a sweet way.


4 slices of bread

3 eggs

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 tsp nutmeg

2 cups milk

Cook Time: 15-20 mins.

Whisk eggs, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla in a bowl and dip each slice in the mixture. Make sure each slice is evenly coated with batter. Pour the oil in your skillet and heat on medium heat. Once the skillet is hot enough, take each slice of bread and place it in the skillet to fry on both sides. When each side is a nice golden brown colour you can remove them. Garnish with your favourite fruits and some whipped cream and syrup.
